    Gmail Hacks

Gmailtalklogo_2 I saw this Gmail Hacks blog post on the net today, and I was surprised at all the inventive uses there are for my favorite webmail program. I knew about the Gmail partition hack, but who knew you could blog via gmail? However, there was one hack that really caught my eye: Gmail skins. I cannot tell you what a joy it was to see my Gmail in purple...and green...and yellow...(I couldn't decide). Gmail Skins is a Firefox extension, and it allows more than a color change - there are other features you could customize/hack as well -- like integrating your Google homepage alongside your inbox, the ability to insert images from your Picasa web album in to your emails, the ability to make the navigation (Inbox, Starred, Sent Mail, etc) horizontal, and much more.

One problem with this extension though - one major problem - the settings tab that actually lets you customize all these features has a tendency to disappear completely! Imagine my disappointment -- this makes the extension virtually useless. I beg of you, Matthew Parker, fix this bug and I will forever be grateful!
