Did Yahoo! Buy Technorati?
There was an interesting post on A View from the Isle weblog this weekend, which led me to the original story by David Berlind on ZDNet. He was surfing Technorati and he hit the back button and he got an apology that was, according to him, "clearly generated by Yahoo!'s servers telling me that the page couldn't be found on Yahoo!'s servers." Also, the Technorati logo displayed next to text that read "Yahoo! - 404 Not Found" on the title page of the tab. Possibly it's a browser bug, or, as Michael Arrington had pondered back in January, Technorati is now another Yahoo! acquistion.
Sarah, Thanks for the link. I'm waiting for David Sifry to comment. He must be taking time off because he's usually right on this stuff ... unless it's true and he can't talk ... ooh the plot thickens!
